Make crosswalks more visible
From "Post your proposal here and place it on the agenda of Accessibility audit"
Go to the project

Some crosswalks are hardly visible and car drivers often don't drive carefully enough around them, creating dangerous situations.
In this proposal, crosswalks are painted in 3 dimensions, giving the impression that there is an obstacle on the road and thereby forcing drivers to slow down. Many accidents could be avoided this way.
There are only two proper crosswalks that are just under a mile away from each other. We need more crosswalks. Now.
Please share your comments on where you think that crosswalks are missing.

Totally agreed. I am risking my life every time I cross Washington Avenue.

Hi both, how about you take the tunnel at the traffic lights? Ok, it will take you a couple of minutes to get there, but it is a much safer alternative.

@Arnold Dickson I feel you. And it doesn't get any better.

Thank you for this proposal @Citizenlab Admin! This is one of the reasons why I don't let my kids walk freely around the city. It's simply too dangerous for them to be alone in the traffic without any safe crossings.
